Bug with empty line adding before photos in Android is ignored for a year+

    More than a year ago I’ve made a report to your support email about bug which you have when you add photos in your entry on Android app, which was acknowledged, but nothing was fixed yet…

    When you add a photo to entry on Android when you have the empty line, it adds the picture and the line stays there. But when I sync this entry with my Mac app – for some reason it adds ANOTHER new empty line before the picture. It basically messes up the visuals on Mac because now there are two empty lines before the photos, and shows incostistency between app versions – as it’s still one on Android.

    But what’s more sad, is that in this report Happiness Engineer named Fox said to me when I attached the pictures showing this bug: “I see exactly what you mean! I added an image on my Android device, then upon syncing to my Mac an extra line was added above it. I’ve reported this to our team for investigation and correction.”, and I received that message on 16 Sep 2024. Request number is 8736133.

    More than a year passed since this bug was acknowledged, and it is still there, photos still add a new line which doesn’t exist. Every such bug which isn’t found and fixed by your team and needs a full report on the forum or support email to be dealt with – raises questions on how active the development of Day One is, at very least. Here but even when report is made but nothing is done for more than a YEAR, which is even more strange.

    What’s funny (not really) is I found out that another bug on Mac app when you copy pictures from Telegram and paste to DayOne and it pastes two identical pictures which I also reported it back then as well – isn’t fixed as well. Yeah.. will make another post with that it seems

    Thanks for flagging this. Our dev team has looked into it and still has this on their backlog; however, it isn’t something we can fix right away. If more cases come up or we find a solution, we’ll reach back out. We really appreciate your patience.
