Bug: Manually setting date/time converts to wrong time zone
-
Setting the date time manually on a journal entry converts from the wrong time zone.
To clarify, the date time that is automatically added to a journal entry is always correct. It’s only when manually editing the date/time that it converts it wrong.
This bug has been around for a long time. At least a couple years, if not more.
For example, say its Sunday June 2nd and I realized I forgot to do a journal entry for Friday May 31st. I’ll go write an entry and then back-date it to Friday night. However, when I manually edit the date/time, it always changes what is submitted by minus 6 hours.
My time zone is Mountain Daylight Time. I know MDT is 6 hours behind UTC, so I think some code is trying to use UTC as the base then subtract 6 hours to hit MDT instead of using what my actual time zone is.
So say I want to set the time to Friday May 31st at 11pm (MDT). When I edit the date/time then hit OK on the date/time picker, the actual time jumps back 6 hours to say Friday May 31st at 5pm.
In order to get an 11pm timestamp I have to change the date to be Saturday June 1st at 5am. Then when I hit OK it will go back 6 hours to Friday May 31st at 11pm.
Please fix this!
