Auto-Location Not Working in Android App Version 2025.7

  I’m currently using the Day One Android app (version 2025.7), and I’ve noticed that the auto-location feature is no longer working for new entries.

  I’ve already made sure that:

  Location permission is set to “Allow all the time” in my Android settings

  Location services are turned on”Auto Add Location” is enabled in the journal settings

  I’ve tried disabling “Auto-apply Point of Interest” just in case

  Despite all that, location is not being added to my entries automatically.

  Is anyone else experiencing this issue on version 2025.7?

  Any suggestions or fixes would be greatly appreciated!

  Sorry to hear you are experiencing an issue with the Auto Location feature on new entries!

  As a first step here, could you please make sure to update your Day One app to the latest version (2025.8.3)?

  Once updated, could you try using the Auto-location feature again on a new entry and let us know if that fixed it?
