as of Mid-Dec, location not populating on Mac
-
It’s worked fine until mid-December. Now, when I create an entry on my Mac, there is no location information. Anybody else?

Can you find the version number of Day One on each device and let me know what you have? See here:
https://dayoneapp.com/guides/settings/locating-the-version-number-of-day-one/. The current version is 2023.26.1.Is the Mac connected to WiFi or using Ethernet? WiFi is required for Day One to access location data from Apple’s API.
We look forward to your reply!

Version 2023.26 (1527)
Mac is on WiFi. Always has been.
I’ve been journaling every day for probably 2 years. It’s has just quit populating location.

Thanks! In Day One > Settings > General > is the option to Auto Add Location enabled?
There are several ways to create a new entry; which option is being used to create new entries when the location is not added?

Thanks, @timurray200093cff4d800. I am having trouble reproducing the issue where location is not added to an entry. May we have you go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Location Services > and try turning off Day One and Day One Helper? Then re-enable them, launch Day One, and try creating a new entry again.
Let us know if that helps or if we can assist you further.

Hi @timurray200093cff4d800. I see we have connected in our regular support queue. I have responded to your latest message. We will continue to investigate this issue with you there. Let us know if you do not receive our reply.

I’m having the same issue and it started about the same time but has been intermittent. Some days yes, somedays no. Same WIFI connection all the time at home.

Hi @sailbradshaw. If you open the Apple Maps app, does it show your current location? Day One uses Apple’s location API for location data.
