App crashing on Mac when scrolling back to previous entries
-
I have Day One loaded on my iMac, iPad and iPhone and I have 13 journals, all but one of which are fairly small. My main journal, though, has 2,150 entries.
Every month I select the entire month’s entries from that main journal on my iMac and create a PDF of them as a backup precaution. Up until now I’ve had no problem, but I’ve just tried to scroll back to my April entries and create a new PDF (because I found a typo that I’ve corrected!) and, every time I start scrolling, Day One crashes after a few seconds. It has now happened multiple times.
I can scroll back on my iPad and iPhone without them crashing, but I can’t then find a way of selecting a whole month’s entries and creating a PDF from them.
Is anyone else having the same problem, and does anyone have any suggestions?
My iMac is running Sonoma 14.6.1 and my iPad and iPhone are running OS version 17.6.1.

Hi @chriswayman! We are sorry to hear Day One on Mac is crashing when scrolling to previous entries. It would be most helpful to get the crash log from your Mac to investigate further. I emailed you for that information so that you do not have to share it here.
In the meantime, you can select a date range in the PDF export settings menu on iOS. See here: https://dayoneapp.com/guides/tips-and-tutorials/exporting-entries
