App closes out every time i open it

Day one app works on both my phone and iPad, but on my mac it closes out immediately as soon as i open it but only if i’m connected to wifi.

@ijohns5833ij, what version of the Day One app do you have installed on your Mac? Is it the latest version available in the App Store? Also, what version of macOS are you using?

@ijohns5833ij, It could be that the Day One app is trying to open an entry that it’s having trouble with. Could you try running this command in Terminal to see if you’re able to open the app afterward?
defaults delete ~/Library/Group Containers/5U8NS4GX82.dayoneapp2/Library/Preferences/5U8NS4GX82.dayoneapp2 DOOpenEntryIDs -

Is there really nothing that can be done about this? I pay for premium and it’s already been a week since i haven’t been able to use the app..

We still have steps left to help :-) . If you reinstall following every step in this guide on y our Mac, it should be resolved: https://dayoneapp.com/guides/troubleshooting/uninstalling-and-reinstalling-day-one-for-macos/
As you’re a Premium Day One user, you can also ask for help from in the app. Use your iPhone or iPad. This will start an email we can use to further troubleshoot a bit more quickly than here in the forums.
