Anyone else having HELL to get a response from Day One?

    Does anyone have a better app than DayOne. I’m still searching and testing. The response time is ridiculous and the new automated email I get if I don’t send them an email from the account I used DayOne with gets a “we respond faster to a premium profile” and then when I do it still takes days to get a response is just not conducive to my pockets anymore. I’m not about to beg any one to take my money nor make them rich in the process so any suggestions on a new app would be great. I like some of the features and realize this is a big task for DayOne but it’s also a big task for my pocket too.

    I’m extremely frustrated with Day One Support and their response/resolution time.

    I’m still in my evaluation period for Premium membership and I’ve been using it daily. I’m experiencing a very annoying data related issue around photos. However, Support can’t seem to reproduce it and only God knows when Dev will get to it, according to Support’s latest response.

    Honestly, I’ve looked into MANY other journal apps, but Day One was the best one for me. That’s what makes this even more frustrating. Their response and resolution time ruins the entire experience for me. I’m seriously considering to quit using it once my Premium trial is over. What’s the point of paying for something so personal & sensitive when you get ZERO support for it?

    This is insane that I am in need of a paid subscription to find a way to move my old content from my old phone to my new phone. The new phone does not support the old app, and all Day One had to say was “only premium subscribers get support”. So in order to retrieve my data I need to now buy a subscription? Sounds like blackmail to me….

    We do not charge users to access their own journal data. If you were using Day One Classic (version 1) until recently, we have recovery options here: https://dayoneapp.com/guides/day-one-classic/day-one-classic-version-1-recovery-options/

    Yes, and FWIW, I’m a premium subscriber. Their own site says I should expect a response with “Premium Support” in about 24 hours. Three times I’ve submitted a support request about the shared journal feature not working for me and haven’t gotten anything other than an AI support bot to respond.
