An error occurred during persistent store migration – how do I fix this ?

    When I try to open the Day One app, I get an error message that reads: “An error occurred during persistent store migration” and the app refuses to open. Help!

    I’m using Mac OS Sonoma 14.1.1 (23B81); I have a Mac Book Pro 2023 with an Apple M2 Max chip. My Day One app is version 2024.4. I’ve followed the suggestions your support AI listed. iCloud Sync is running and configured correctly. I restarted my device. I updated Day One. I was unable to “Restore Purchases” since the Day One app wouldn’t open. I’m signed into the App Store with the correct Apple ID but am not sure how to “restore the purchase” via the App Store. I am now contacting support per the AI’s instructions and per the instructions on your website. Help, please!

    Can I have you confirm you can see all your entries on another device using Day One and at dayone.me?

    If you can see all your entries in another location than your Mac, please try to uninstall and reinstall the app according to the steps in the article below. If you run into the same error after doing that, please let us know.
