360 degree photo support
-
any solutions for 360 degree photo support.
ive tried sharing a Google photos shared photo link. But links in journal entries aren’t clickable or selectable.
-
Could you let us know what file format the photos are saved in?
Also, you should be able to paste a link into a journal entry and edit the link and tap it to open it within a web browser. Could you let us know what happens when you attempt to interact with it?
For reference, if you wanted to add the links as markdown, you can find our reference guide here:

the files are GoPro max 360 photos.

But it doesn’t open as a 360

just done a test. I can select a link in an entry I’ve made but no other users who have access can click or select a link.

Thanks for the update @patc04ef6c043ff!
Could you share which version of the Day One app you have, and what type of device (iOS/Android).
Also, could you confirm which sharing method you’re using? For example, are you sharing a PDF? -
I’m on Android Google Pixel 7 running Android 15 security update March 2925.
The Day One app is version:
version 2025.6
com.dayoneapp.dayonethe issue is my GoPro Max360 can produce 360 degree images that I can download to my Android phone.
limited support in Android for 360 images but I have downloaded viewing apps that allow me to see the images as 360.
I can upload those images to FaceBook and they work as 360 degree inages.
I can save those images to my Google cloud photo space and create a shared link to those images.

These links open and can be viewed as 360 images.
the issue is a link like above posted into a Day One entry can’t get clicked on to open or be selected to copy post by anyone other than the author of that entry. So other users who have shared access to the entries can’t view them.
ideally having native 360 support for the images would be the best solution but at least the ability to click a shared link would be a start.

Thanks for the update! I checked into this further and confirmed that the links are a result of a bug that our team is already working on. This should be fixed in a future app update.
> But it doesn’t open as a 360
I’ve added your vote to an existing feature request to support 360 files natively on the app. Thank you for your feedback!
